Ramsey County plans to reconstruct Hodgson Rd between approximately Rice St and Hiway 96. This project was originally planned for 2014 but will likely be done in 2015.

There are questions regarding the inclusion of pedestrian and cycle paths along this route and what type. This is a key cycling route to allow residents in neighborhoods along Hodgson to access retail centers along Hiway 96 and elsewhere. It is also a key route for all residents of Shoreview and other communities to access destinations south of this project via Rice Street, including commuting to St Paul.
